First and foremost, salutations to Lord Ganesha (ॐ), the remover of all obstacles. Our Vedas say शतहस्त समाहर सहस्त्र हस्त सं किर (Earn with hundred hands; donate with thousand).

As Hindus, we strongly believe "Nara seva is a form of Narayana Seva". Primary purpose of HFB is to raise funds and collect food items for the local Food Banks.

Thanks to all our Temples and the Hindu community who have generously donated. We are working with various foodbanks across Toronto to distribute the items. Though our contribution looks significant it is a small portion of their collection. All foodbanks are really appreciative of our community's effort. But there is still a growing need for food in Toronto. Please continue to support!!

We have reached a MAJOR MILESTONE in our donation efforts. We have crossed the "100 TON" mark. As of April 2026, since inception in November 2021, HinduFoodBank has donated 201,800 lbs (100.9 Tons) of food items to the Local Food Banks in Toronto. Thanks to all the Volunteers, Donors and the participating Temples.
